Visiting the desert of Joshua tree National Park.
The Joshua Tree is something between a tree and a cactus. They can get 100-150 years old and have a mostly binary branch like structure. Their name comes from Joshua calling with his arms in the air for Gods mercy.
The desert is very dry and hot : no water. We were asked to take 4 liter/person/day and we left for a 3 day hike … 🙂 a backpack full of water and some extra jerrycans that we hid underway.
Desert flowers and cactuses.
A part of the Joshua Tree National Park is renowned for its boulder rock structures : impressive.
