One night in a posh hotel in Panama. Paid by the airline . Our connecting flight was canceled because of heavy thunderstorms at our final destination in Costa Rica (SJO).
Panama city shows many empty apartment buildings, in a country where the indigenous population is still in poverty. At night, you see no lights burning in most of the apartment flats. Reasons are fiscal (probably money laundry) in the fiscal paradise Panama still is.
Some days at the west coast in Montezuma. Pacific waves, so much fun!
In the beginning of the rain season many streets are impassable, because of too much water in the crossing rivers. Even with our rented 4 wheel drive. Bridges only exist on main roads. On many roads 15 km/h is what you can drive without ruining the car and your back.
